It have the best of both worlds combined into one single piece and considering that those two scents are my favorites from the first Byron Parfums collection you can imagine how I'll judge this fragrance. In this case, Byron brought back his personal style and you can recognize this is a Byron's from a mile away. The house DNA and personality is deeply implemented in the perfume. Very elegant and versatile fragrance One of the latest releases by the house of Byron Parfums. In this ocassion, the French designer decided to leave the oriental territory to compose a piece that gravitates towards the classic aromatic masculine perfumery using the kind of ingredients that makes us think in that mentioned category. Three perfectly separated phases; Fresh and aromatic opening, Floral and spicy heart and a Woody, leathery and with creamy undertones base. The Byron DNA is not marked as it usually is in the rest of his concoctions but definitely you'd get certain vibes that will let you know that you are experiencing a Byron perfume. Don't get misslead by the name A fresh and airy opening with a very prominent neroli note rapidly meets a heavy dose of saffron, jasmine and violet on my skin. A refined mild oud note super smooth, sandalwood and gazelle musk mixed with an spicy vanilla used in the same way as in Mula Mula conforms the base. The backbone and the cornerstone of this fragrance are the spicy floriental woody notes that the whole composition conform. It's a beautiful, refined and delicate concoction. Sandalwood, sandalwood and more sandalwood The first thing that I perceive when I spray The Chronic on is a creamy and subtly sweet sandalwood note pretty good executed. Some spices and a hint of cinnamon meets an amber-y and leather-y heart in the most refined way to rest on a bed of sandalwood and musk. All notes are harmoniously blended.   A very well deserved hype beast Brilliant fruity and juicy opening with peach and berries sweetened up by the caramel and the cinnamon vibe that I perceive nothing overwhelming and balmed by the benzoin. The drydown throws a resinous environment provided by the labdanum. There's a mild oud note super smooth that add a mature presence and depth to the composition as well as fix perfectly with the smoky notes of nagarmotha and leather. There's also a hint of spiceness provided by the ginger and the saffron in the perfect measure that drives the fragrance in the right way and doesn't get the fragrance into the 100% gourmand territory that could fall due to the super generous dose of vanilla, caramel, benzoin and Peru Balm that this piece has.
