An evocative perfume based around the incense and amber The master perfumer Luca Maffei creator of some perfumes that I love such as L'attesa by Masque Milano, Oud Imperial and Rose de Taif by Perris Montecarlo, has created this complex and rich scent. Imagine the sensation of entering a forest full of intoxicating labdanum with a humid/moist soil where there's a church in which incense is burning and a cedarwood campfire is also burning at the entrance. A warm and dark incense opening mixed with a leathery and smokey labdanum meets a spicy and resinous heart with a dark and burned sensation provided by the mix of resins especially elemi, labdanum and most important nagarmotha that adds a dark and mysterious sensation. A scent that evokes the smell of a large forest wet after the storm and the smell of firewood burning in a fireplace not far away Great smoky cypress and vetiver mixed up with some cashmere woods. It's dark and mysterious but at the same time it's airy and transparent. Opens up with an absolutely amazing and hyper realistic smoky note of cypress mixed with woods and a little bit peppery. The drydown reveals an earthy vetiver that takes the center of the stage during the whole scent's life. Its aroma is green, dark, earthy, woody and resinous. Fresh, green, aromatic, creamy, something sweet, woody, super mature, elegant and versatile   When the Master Daniel Josier told me to be patient with Kaleidoscope and that it was very special, I didn't imagine that it'd be as special as this perfume has turned out to be for me, but in a good way. Super aromatic opening with a mint and eucalyptus totally three-dimensional and hyper-realistic. Immediately a pine note very well executed and a heavy dose of lavender is perceived. The spectacular cedar and other noble woods is the next thing that is perceived. I find a certain creaminess provided by a cypress very wrapped in sandalwood. It's a super realistic forest smell. At the base a light and balsamic incense next to a very hidden oud culminate and round this jewel. It is fresh, it is green, it is aromatic, it is creamy, something sweet, woody, super mature, elegant and versatile. Long lasting longevity with heavy to moderate sillage.
