In 2018, UNESCO accredited the Art of Perfumery in Grasse World Heritage Status in light of their exceptional knowledge associated with cultivating ingredients and for the art of perfume composition. Our desire was to create a fragrance which represents the history and unique craftmanship of Grasse enabling everyone to enjoy the quality and true greatness of the art of French perfumery. Minimalist and elegant Opens with bitter sweetened orange, with something like sugar but that remains bitter like the edt and accompanied by grapefruit. The orange is present at all times as the main protagonist and changing nuances as they change the notes that accompany it. It's an incisive and very bitter fragrance until the final phase of the drydown in which it loses enough of that bitterness to become more woody, dense and sweet spiced imo thanks to the benzoin. It has a mineral phase in the middle phase that makes it less earthy than its sister with edt concentration. It's minimalist and elegant. Long lasting and moderate projection. A good, clean, fresh, intimate and minimalist scent that is great for warm weather and could evoke you to a relaxed state of calm and peace walking in an oriental flower garden Citrus opening with Kumquat (Chinesse orange) that is similar to tangerine, very refreshing, bracing, herbal and with some greenness. The floral accords appears right away at the start of the drydown. I perceive white flowers from the jasmin that mixed with the "orange" seems like an strange orange blossom. A musky environment mixed with green are the main characters of the drydown as well as an aquatic, fresh and bracing vibe in it. Fantastic and completely unisex even though it's labelled as "women fragrance"   A creamy, sweet and balsamic orange is the main character in this very well executed composition by Jean-Claude Ellena. It's thick/dense but at the same time has lightness, a bold and diverse creation which gives prominence to resins and woods. Spicy, dried citrusy, confited opening that gives pass to a drydown in which the orange (rather its peel) still is the main character but sinking into a resins, amber & woods sea resulting in an intense, spiced and aromatic, sweet orange that even has a vanillic vibe sometimes.
