A rich, smooth and deep fragrance that rapidly has became one of my favorite amber based fragrances   Brilliant opening with a prominent sage and crystallized ginger mixed with an apricot note that adds a velvety and slightly fruity touch and a narcotic semi-sweet ylang-ylang to evolve into a fantastic labdanum and cistus absolute, olibanum, vanilla and chocolat-y patchouli combo at the balsamic base that Ambre Nomade has. Everything ends up resting in a bed of incensy labdanum.It's a spicy, warm, dark and intense and with that incense touch that it's adorable. The composition comes and goes from musky balsamic, to resinous to dark but always perfectly balanced and alluring. I love the phases when it's more dark and balsamic and the cistus is more prominent. A rich, smooth and deep fragrance that rapidly has became one of my favorite amber based fragrances. A scent that dances between the floriental and the gourmand territory with a very natural smelling way   An slightly smoky opening with warm myrrh and olibanum and a caramelized jammy rose in combination with red fruits and cardamom plays around the presence of a caramelized kinda labdanum with smooth coffee and an earthy patchouli as well as oud and a slightly sour instead of creamy sandalwood that provides a woody, resinous quality. I find Ruby Wood a scent that dances between the floriental and the gourmand territory with a very natural smelling way. The quality of the ingredients is very high. Oud topped with jammy roses and praliné An opening full of brilliant rose, a velvety and smooth red rose to be precise mixed with Oud that is balanced I guess for the praline that makes it sweet in the right way. It's dark, seductive and extremely well blended. The drydown reveals a beautiful clove that spices the blend with the jammy velvety rose very present and the oud in the back as a nice supporting character to the main actress The Rose, to make it perfect for me. There's also a raspberry vibe or feeling even though it's not listed as a note but I definitely think I smell it in similar way as in Rose Omeyyade by Atelier des Ors. I absolutely love this fragrance and it's a solid one in my rotation and inside my collection. I get very good longevity (more than I expected) and more than a decent sillage. Leather with a hint of frreshness in the opening Fresh opening with leather presence. During the drydown the citrus fades to give pass to a spiced scent full of saffron and a gentle dose of cardamom with a hint of pepper. During the first hour or so the fragrance keeps a spiced freshness. Around the 2,5 - 3 hour mark the amber and the oud begins to take the center of the stage alongside the leather note to provide with an ambery, oudy, leathery warmness that I absolutely love. Oud in here is so occidental. I feel it so classy and stinging in the good way. Remains warm but with a hint of freshness that make it so unique imo. I can see little similarities between this one and AdP Colonia Leather or Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather but definitely on my skin this is one of a kind and stands apart for other qualities. It's energetic and even vigorous. Every note is very present and identifiable, nothing animalic in it and at the 12-13 hour mark before become a skin scent for quit...

A masterpiece by Thierry Wasser for Les Absolus d'Orient Collection   A masterpiece by Thierry Wasser that opens semi sweet thanks to the amber, peach and cinnamon that keeps evolving to an amazing sandalwood scent mixed with some florals and end up in an amber-y base mixed with top notch oud, leather and rose. This is one of the most complex fragrances that I have as it goes through a lot of phases during its life. Fruity, woody, sweet, leathery...I couldn't say this one is three dimensional. I prefer to say that this one is multi dimensional as each note and accord can be clearly perceived and there are around 10 different phases/stages in its life. Even though I don't distinguish between seasons or moments to wear a fragrance I've experienced that this one works better in the night time and when the temperature cools down.
