Aoud Leather by Montale Parfums Paris
Leather with a hint of frreshness in the opening Fresh opening with leather presence. During the drydown the citrus fades to give pass to a spiced scent full of saffron and a gentle dose of cardamom with a hint of pepper. During the first hour or so the fragrance keeps a spiced freshness. Around the 2,5 - 3 hour mark the amber and the oud begins to take the center of the stage alongside the leather note to provide with an ambery, oudy, leathery warmness that I absolutely love. Oud in here is so occidental. I feel it so classy and stinging in the good way. Remains warm but with a hint of freshness that make it so unique imo. I can see little similarities between this one and AdP Colonia Leather or Tom Ford's Tuscan Leather but definitely on my skin this is one of a kind and stands apart for other qualities. It's energetic and even vigorous. Every note is very present and identifiable, nothing animalic in it and at the 12-13 hour mark before become a skin scent for quit...
