Le Parfum du 68 by Guerlain

Welcome to the number 68 of Les Champs Elysees

1913, Guerlain moved his boutique to the Champs-Elysées, just a few hundred meters from his first factory. To celebrate the opening of his new boutique, Jacques Guerlain created Parfum des Champs-Elysées for his Parisian admirers. The frarance came in a magnificent turtle-shaped bottle in Baccarat crystal, a witty allusion to the exceedingly slow pace of construction.
A century later, Guerlain continues to reinvent itself. The legendary address—68, avenue des Champs-Elysées—elegantly embodies French art de vivre. Artists and craftsmen of worldwide renown have redesigned this superb setting for a new century of beauty and passion, a new adventure for Guerlain.
To celebrate this newest chapter in the epic story of Guerlain, Thierry Wasser has created Parfum du 68, taking inspiration from the very essence of the house’s identity. Made in Guerlain’s image, the fragrance, like the house itself, weaves a thread between the past and the future. More than a homage, it is a declaration.
The scent, floral and woody, plays off the contrast between warm and cool spices and harmoniously blends everlasting flower and rose in a unique floral duet. A bouquet of heliotrope and benzoin envelops the fragrance, leaving behind a trail that is irresistibly Guerlain.

REVIEW
Welcome to the number 68 of Les Champs Elysees. Like the immortal legend of Guerlain immortelle flower is the cornerstone of this spicy woody creation composed by 68 elements. Amongst those precious ingredients, sparkling citrus on top, dusty benzoin, cool and warm spicy notes, a veil of flowers, creamy tonka bean and airy incense creates a warm, sensual and everlasting alluring base with a very prominent "Guerlinade" aura dressed in smooth sueded leather. A true modern classic that weaves a thread between the past and the future.

Superb work by Thierry Wasser.

Sample thanks to my friend Laura at Guerlain counter at El Corte Inglés.
