LUBIN HOUSE OVERVIEW

AKKAD


It opens with an spicy, bright and sugared citruses accord mixed with burnt sensation and leathery labdanum to keep evolving into an earthy and resinous drydown with elemi, frankincense, labdanum and patchouli to end up in a sexy, smooth and warm dry vanillic/caramel amber base. It's sophisticated and exudes quality. A certified masterpiece and an absolute love to me. My favorite from the house of Lubin.


GALAAD


Spicy, green and herbal opening with a mild cypress note and a heavy cardamom. A balmy accord of myrrh that makes it resinous, powdery and even dry but never loosing the aromatic character. A soft tobacco and honey rounds up this composition that remains close to the skin but with a great longevity.


IDOLE


An spicy and boozy opening with certain darkness counter balanced by the bitter orange gives pass to a sweet sugarcane drydown to end up in a rich base of vanillic labdanum, leather and sandalwood. It's a good composition where the darkness and the clarity meet each other in the middle to create this sumptuous scent.


UPPER TEN


Spices strikes again, this time with cardamom and spicy cinnamon in the opening to end up in a woody and ambery base where the sandalwood, cedarwood and leather are the main characters to conform an elegant composition.


KORRIGAN


A fresh start welcomes you to Korrigan. It's another offer from Lubin based on the counter parts and counter balances where a clear opening with some spices and juniper again meets a more warm an dark base with a boozy leather, woody nuances and vanillic whisky vibe. Masterfully blended imho.

A fragrance with a dangerously addictive character     My experience with Francesca Bianchi's perfumes is very limited as I don't own any but I have the luck to have a friend (actually one of my best friends) that loves Francesca's work and that he has all of Francesca's perfumes. As usual, Juan from Huelememucho  let me know in one of our calls that he already bought the new Francesca Bianchi's creation called Sticky Fingers and that I'd easily love it as per my liking and taste. He couldn't be more right as when we met a couple of days later and I tried the scent, I absolutely felt in love with it, it was love at first sniff straight like that.
