A perfume with a story behind

THE PERFUME
It's well known by all that perfume is an activator and evocative of memories but when it comes to a time machine perfume, in this case Weil de Weil fulfills this function. I immediately feel transported to another time and place with my grandmother in memories that really touch my heart and soul and remind me of a smell that symbolizes a moment and a feeling of tenderness and delicacy.

 

Also, Weil de Weil has the capacity to evolve into its own life to conform absolutely different perfumes, from a bright, green, fresh and clean spring morning to a sunset on a sweltering summer day. This is thanks to the contrasts that this perfume treasures to evolve from bright green to leathery chypre. That's what happens to Weil de Weil, from the spring morning to the summer night. A scent that blew me away since the very first moment that I smelled it and moreover when I experienced the transition and the capability that it has to créate those contrasts from fresh to warm, from innocence to desire....To me, if Weil de Weil were a color, it would be green and yellowish Brown.

REVIEW
Weil de Weil is a perfect Chypre from that time in which everything was done differently and I'm lucky enough to have this bottle in its original formulation that, coincidentally, belonged also to a grandmother, in this case, my adorable sister-in-law Irene's Granny. Thank you sister-in-law for giving me emotions and bottled feelings. Empowering green, floral with narcissus and hyacinth in large doses, woody, mossy and even powdery and leathery in some phases. Vetiver, galbanum and a light dose of civet round off this classic piece.

 

Es de sobra conocido por todos que el perfume es un activador y evocador de recuerdos pero cuando se trata de un perfume máquina del tiempo, en mi caso esta función la cumple Weil de Weil. Inmediatamente me siento transportado a otro tiempo y lugar junto a mi abuela en unos recuerdos que realmente tocan mi corazón y mi alma y me recuerdan un olor que simboliza un instante y un sentimiento de ternura y delicadeza.

Weil de Weil es un Chypre de libro de esa época en la que todo se hacía de otra manera y tengo la suerte de tener esta botella en su formulación original que, casualmente, pertenecía también a una abuela, en este caso la de mi adorable cuñada Irene. Gracias cuñada por regalarme emociones y sentimientos embotellados. Empoderadoramente verde, floral con narciso y jacinto en grandes dosis, amaderada, musgosa e incluso empolvada y encuerada en algunas fases. Vetiver, gálbano y una ligera dosis de civeta redondean esta clásica pieza.
